Dr. Richard E Dunn, DVM

Dr. Dunn is a native Floridian from Daytona Beach, Florida. He graduated from Florida Land Academy with a BS in Biological science in 1977, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 1981. Post-obit graduation, he worked in a mixed animal do in Monroe, NC earlier returning to Florida to work in a mixed creature practice in Belleview, FL. Dr. Dunn and his wife Diana started Countryside Fauna Clinic in 1984 in the old Beverly Hills shopping plaza. The practice grew from its original 1,000 foursquare foot leasehold to the current 4,000 square foot building 10 years later.

Dr. Dunn and Diana have three adult children who grew upwardly with the dispensary, too as ii granddaughters. They have 2 dogs, Caesar (a xanthous lab) and Cleo (a short-haired blackness & tan dachshund), two cats (Chester and Moe), and Merlin, a South American Redfoot tortoise.

Dr. Dunn'due south hobbies include fishing, reading, exercising, spending time with the family, and "spoiling" his granddaughters. He has a multitude of fond clinic memories, but some of his favorites are helping animals with unusual problems, like the cow that was shot by a bow and arrow, retrieving a needle from a cat'due south stomach non-surgically, reversing a true cat in renal failure, helping a dog hit by lightning and treating a traveling circus elephant for pneumonia.

 Dr. Dunn and Diana are about proud of and grateful for the exceptional team they have at Countryside. It is a truly unique and talented group of people who work well together as a team, who enjoy what they exercise, and who derive their greatest satisfaction from helping their clients' pets live long and happy lives!

Dr. Michele K. Farrar, DVM

Dr. Michele Farrar is a native of the New River and Shenandoah Valleys of Virginia and attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate caste in Animal Science with a minor in Biological science. After working for a number of years as a veterinary technician she decided to pursue her lifelong dream and returned to school at Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2009 with her Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine.

She and her husband, Dan, moved to Citrus County in 2010 and so that she could pursue her desire to provide quality veterinarian medicine in a mixed brute practice at Countryside Animal Clinic.

The Farrars accept two pugs, Auggie and Lilo. They have recently caused two well-fed goldfish who are as yet unnamed. The fish are the latest in a long line of exotic pets which accept included other fish, a degu, a pygmy hedgehog, and a Nanday Conure.

Dr. Farrar's experiences in veterinary medicine have covered a diversity of species. Her more memorable cases take included the bull terrier who ate a nebulizer and a pair of jeans, the python who suffered from a cold, a rabbit in kidney failure, the flying squirrel who was neutered, a neurologic goat, a true cat who had a huge fishing lure defenseless in her upper lip, and an adopted wild pig with a milk jug band wrapped effectually her pes.

Dr. Farrar'south hobbies include drawing (pen and ink and colored pencil), baking, reading, biking and kayaking. She and her husband are as well avid Virginia Tech Hokie fans.

Dr. Victoria Schad, PhD, DVM

Dr. Victoria Schad was born and raised in upstate New  York. She obtained her MS and PhD (Immunology) from the Academy of Rochester Medical School. Dr. Schad moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue a career in biomedical enquiry, including HIV, allergy, and transplantation. She obtained her DVM from Tufts Academy School of Veterinary Medicine and worked in mixed brute practise in southeastern Massachusetts prior to moving to Florida. Currently, Dr. Schad owns iii cats (2 are diabetic), a parakeet, an eastern painted turtle, and many fish as pets. Dr. Schad is a naturalist, she loves Florida's flora and beast, especially the nature declension. She enjoys kayaking, swimming, birding, gardening, and spending time exterior.

Dr. Ashton Hudson, DVM

Dr. Hudsson grew upwards in West Tennessee. She attended the Mississippi Country University where she earned her caste in animal and dairy science. She and then continued to earn her degree at Mississippi State College of Veterinarian Medicine. She is passionate almost working with both large and small brute patients. Dr. Hudson and her girl recently moved to the Sunshine country and settled in Citrus County.

She has a golden retriever named Shadow, and long-haired kitty named Sassy. In her spare fourth dimension, Dr. Hudson enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family unit.

Dr. Veronica Buhler, DVM

Dr. Veronica Buhler is a Citrus County native. She was built-in and raised in Inverness and attended Citrus High School. At the Academy of South Florida she earned a BS in integrative animal biology with a minor in chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia where she graduated with honors.

She has recently returned to Citrus County with her married man (Wayne) their domestic dog (Sylo) and two cats (Mia and Motta). She is excited to once again live about her extended family and to provide quality veterinary service in her hometown.

Dr. Kendal Roweton, DVM

Doctor Kendal Roweton joined the Countryside team in Fall of 2019. He is native to Southwest Missouri. He studied at the University of Missouri where he earned his Veterinary License in 1986. He worked for mixed do with a special interest in Livestock Product Medicine. He continued to entertain this function of his career between 1986-2019.

Doctor Roweton and his wife Terri decided to move and make the Sunshine State their habitation. Family is a very important part of his life. He has 7 children and nine grandchildren whom he enjoys spending quality time with. What veterinarian wouldn't have animals right? His furry children include ii horses, two dogs, a true cat, and pigeon named Gus. Gus is a retired racing pigeon who bonded with the Roweton family. Whenever he has spare time, he enjoys playing a game of golf or angling on a boat.

With a passion for mixed animal exercise, Doctor Roweton will too see cows. His journey in Florida has been a welcoming experience and he looks forward to treating pets, large or small-scale.

Dr. Kelli Gibbs was born in Homestead, Florida. She attended the Academy of Florida where she earned her caste in veterinary medicine. Go Gators! She enjoys going to the embankment, natural springs, horseback riding, gardening, and traveling. She loves spending time with her family, friends, and nephews. Her family includes her parents, two brothers, 2 nephews, and fiancé Matt. When she is not at work loving on client's pets, she's at habitation enjoying quality time with her ain. She has two dogs- Bayli and Bo, ii cats-George and Nalah, six chicks, and two pygmy goats. Her special interests are in anesthesia and hurting management. Ambry Giattino

Ambry was born and raised in Watkins Glen, New York. She moved to Florida in her early on teens. The first animal hospital she worked in was in Coral Springs. Ambry began in the kennel and worked her mode up to practice manager. She has had the pleasure of working in many specialty practices and emergency hospitals. Her husband is a firefighter for Marion county and their family includes their iii children, six dogs,and two cats. Ambry has brought wonderful leadership and feel to our practice and we are thrilled to accept her every bit a part of our team.

Samantha Irizarry

Samantha was born in North Miami, Florida. She has five sisters and one blood brother. Her father wanted to enhance his family in the land, so they decided to motion to Citrus County. She grew upward on a farm and loved helping animals. She obtained her Associate's degree in Animal Scientific discipline at College of Central Florida. Her passion for animals led her to the doors of Countryside Animal Clinic in Autumn 2012. Starting as a kennel technician, Samantha took on whatever new responsibleness with stride. Samantha had married her middle school sweetheart February 2015. Her and her husband Orlando, welcomed their showtime kid, Nathan, at the terminate of that aforementioned twelvemonth. Cathy Rivera

Cathy was built-in in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Puerto Rico until the age of 10. Her family unit then moved to Orlando where she lived until the age of twenty-3. She came to Citrus Canton and decided to settle downwards.

Cathy joined the Countryside team October x, 2011, and brings fantabulous customer service, veterinary medicine knowledge and technical skills to the clinic.

Cathy and her husband have three children, Elias, Scarlett, and Sawyer. Their iv-legged family members include two cats named Felix and Sexy, a rabbit named Peter, and two dogs, Shiloh, and Paisley.

Cathy'southward hobbies include scuba diving, fishing, boating, and reading. Her fondest retention while working in the animal care field was when a customer rescued three baby racoons to be fostered by the local wildlife rehabilitators.

Marie Scott

Marie Scott has been part of the Countryside squad for four years. She has a vast noesis in veterinary medicine and first-class technical skills. She is besides a floor supervisor and takes pride in providing fantabulous customer service. Marie was born and raised in Citrus County. She lives with her female parent, begetter, and sister. She too lives with Gabby the lab, Yoko the shorkie, Noodles the daschund, Yoyo the tabby, Meow Meow and Shadow the calicos, Chester the domestic long hair, and Smokie and Miss B (foster fails) the black kitties.

Marie's hobbies consist of napping, painting, drawing, and enjoying adventures at Disney. Her special interests are dealing with feline patients, especially those with catitudes. She has embraced Countryside'southward Fear costless philosophy and makes sure each patient that she encounters has a stress free experience.

Marie attended the Academy of Environment Scientific discipline and has hereafter goals of either becoming a certified veterinary technician or a veterinarian. She aspires to specialize in veterinary hospice intendance.

Robin Stokes

Suzanne Tobin

Suzanne is a Customer Care Representative at Countryside Animal Clinic. She joined our team with feel in equine massage therapy and a passion for large animal. Spending most of her career working in big animal medicine, Suzanne wanted to venture into a mixed animal exercise to expand her knowledge. Suzanne was thrilled to learn nigh the different species Countryside treats. Although, learning about pocket-size animal medicine, Suzanne hasn't abased her talents for massage therapy. Shanna Cortese

Shanna was born in upstate New York, raised in Coral Springs, and moved to Ocala in 2004. Shanna currently lives in Beverly Hills and loves it! She enjoys spending time with family unit, going to the beach and listening to music.

Shanna has been married to Wendy for 10 years. They accept two dogs (Tucker and Charlie) and ii cats (Karma and Madyson). Shanna started working in this profession 32 years agone. Lexi joined the CAC team with a positive outlook. She was hired as a customer care representative and has exceeded those expectations. Since then, she is now learning skills as a veterinarian technician. She graduated from Lecanto High School and once she finishes her certificate in Real Estate, she volition continue instruction in becoming a certified veterinary technician. Her hobbies include archery, painting, barrel racing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with her boyfriend and family. Her family includes her mom-Courtney, sis-Taylor, boyfriend-Shayne, gramma, and Aunt Dede. Long term goals are to become a mixed animal veterinarian. She has many aspirations and hopes to have a big happy, salubrious family surrounded past land and pets. She takes things 24-hour interval by day and is thankful for all she has and plans to have.

Vicky Stephens, CVT

Vicky was one of the showtime technicians hired on at Countryside in 1985 in the small shopping plaza across the street. After half dozen months of employment, Vicky obtained her veterinary technician credentials and became licensed. Vicky is one of Countryside's chief surgery technicians.

Vicky and her husband live in Ocala on a pocket-size cattle subcontract. Vicky is a huge Florida Country fan and enjoys watching them play. Vicky has 3 cats, Junior, Sylvester, and Shelly.

Jamie White, CVT

Jamie lived in upstate New York as a child on a horse and poultry farm. She moved to Brooksville, FL in the 1970's with her family and met her married man Pete in high school.

Jamie received her AA degree and connected her education at St. Petersburg Customs Higher, graduating as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She joined the Countryside squad in 2006, and brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the clinic.

Jamie and Pete have one daughter Leah. Their four-legged family members include 4 horses, 1 cat named Oreo, 2 Anatolian Shepherds (siblings that baby-sit the goats), 20 registered pygmy goats, and two Chihuahuas!  Jamie shows her goats and has won many awards, the latest award earned with a goat named Heavenly Blessings Moonlit Summer, who achieved permanent Grand Champion status.  In the goat world, this is the equivalent to winning the golden in the Olympics!

Her hobbies include quilting, gardening, and handbasket weaving.

Jamie's favorite clinic memories were the clinic scavenger chase, and when a choked horse sneezed all over the Doctor and then recovered nicely.

Amy went to the college of Central Florida where she earned her degree in veterinarian scientific discipline. Donna Posa

Donna is one of the few employees who started working for Countryside when information technology outset began. She was hired on in 1991. Donna is a very passionate technician who has connected and maintained many long term relationships with our clients.

Donna and her hubby live on a xx-acre farm in Citrus County with their boxer Wrangler, Cane Corso Twilight, and iv feline friends. Donna has a daughter who is a medical assistant and a son who has been an active Marine since 2007.

Kayla graduated from Crystal River Highschool in 2013. She is passionate about animals and patient intendance. With knowledge for exotics and small animals, Kayla is willing to help anywhere she tin. She is currently focusing on her career and learning skills while on the job. She likes to go shopping, fishing, playing PS4, and listening to music. She too loves spending time with her little nieces. Besides having a love for animals, Kayla enjoys going to historical sites and traveling. Her future goals are to travel more, become a certified veterinary technician, and move up in the workplace.

Mark was built-in in Brevard Canton and attended Valencia Community College for two years. Tracy is his longtime girlfriend, who is now a teacher at Citrus Springs Middle Schoolhouse. Their four-legged family members are two labs, Chloe and Benny, and Jeremiah an American Pitt Balderdash Terrier.

He has lived in Citrus Canton since 2006, and enjoys sporting events, AKC hunt tests, basketball, and football. When not working at Countryside, Mark stays decorated working as a referee for high school sports events.

His favorite memories are working with exotics in the past, from big cats to monkeys, but mainly enjoys helping animals and meeting their owners.

Melanie LaRue

Melanie joined Countryside in 2016. She has seventeen years of experience in the veterinary field and enjoys everything she does. She has two pugs named Turbo (Turbo Spumoni) and Bandit (Bandito Sofrito). Melanie has various skills that allows her to work anywhere in the clinic atmosphere. When she is not wearing multiple hats at the clinic, she is enjoying the outdoors. She loves being out on her gunkhole and scuba diving.

Morgan Yerke

Morgan was built-in in Michigan and traveled to the Us with her parents and sisters for most of her childhood. She resides in Citrus Country with her fiancé and 2 dogs, Mipha and Basch. Morgan attended Primal Florida and obtained an Associates in Art and besides attended the Florida International Teaching Zoo.

Morgan has been part of the Countryside team since 2016. She has been in the profession for xiv years. She is a very diverse technician and wears many hats. She is an excellent dental technician and currently is the dispensary's inventory manager.

Her special interests are clay work and digital media. Morgan's future goals are to continue to abound with the profession and possibly obtain her certification as a technician.

Taylor Desmond

Taylor is a veterinary technician at Countryside Animal Clinic. She has strong ambitions to pursue her dream of condign an equine veterinarian. With special interests in large beast, small animal, nutrient animate being, and orthopedic medicine, her options are countless. She graduated from Warner University in 2016 and is currently obtaining her prerequisites at the University of Florida Gainesville. From there, she will go along her aspirations to go a large animal veterinarian. She is extremely motivated with annihilation she sets her mind to. She was born and raised in Massachusetts. Kelly continued working with animals throughout her career. She moved to Florida in 2012 where she decided to settle downward with her 2 rescue kitties. Lauren Stokes

Lauren began her journey at Countryside June 2019. She is currently attention the College of Central Florida and Lecanto Loftier School. When she is not showing livestock, she enjoys showing her personal horse at Canton, District, State, and Regional levels of iv-H competitions. Lauren is ambitious and will attain anything she sets her mind to. In her spare time, Lauren is involved in Varsity Cheerleading, Varsity Girls Flag Football game, National Honor Order, FFA, 4-H, Equestrian Passenger, and livestock entrepreneur. Her ultimate dream is to heighten her own large cattle corporation and selling prospect calves beyond the country.

Drake Duncan

Yazmin Ramos

Yazmin is currently going to Lecanto High School where she is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program. She will be graduating in the spring of 2022 and hopes to go to the Academy of Florida for her AA degree and then on to becoming a veterinary. She is involved and active in many clubs at her school such as senior class president of the Lecanto Loftier School chapter of key gild international. She is also part of the National Honor Order and Model UN. Her Hobbies include crafting and jewelry making. She doesn't have any household pets. However, she does have pets on her farm in Chile. She lives with her mom and sister and the rest of her family lives in Republic of chile. She moved to the United states of america when she was three. She is fluent in both English and Castilian.

Faith spent three years at Newtown Highschool. She so moved to Florida from Connecticut where she graduated from Crystal River High School. She is currently taking classes at Higher of Fundamental Florida. Her hobbies include learning new things, watching movies, tv set shows, riding horses, reading, and drawing. Her goals are to further her didactics at Petrograd college and become a certified veterinary technician. She has two horses-Denali and Hershey, one dog- Zoey, and two cats- Cavallo and Sparkles. She lives with her family, mother, father and brother.

Jesse Chiella

Jesse joined the Countryside team with 18 years of veterinary experience. Jesse graduated from Hudson High Schoolhouse in 1999. He went to the Academy of Florida for five years for Fauna Scientific discipline. He is because going dorsum to cease the degree. He enjoys watching sports such as NY Mets and NY Giants and UFC. He too enjoys cooking in general. Jesse likes to spend quality time with his two boys-Noah and Leo and their pets. Jesse and his boys take fun playing sports and going to fish/reptile stores. His father lives in Myrtle beach N.C. Jesse'southward goals are to continue to grow in the veterinary field and learn new aspects of the veterinary medicine.

Monique Freeman

Monique joined the Countryside team with experience in the human medical field as an EMT. Monique aspires to expand her knowledge in the veterinary field. She attended Rogers High School in Newport, RI. She earned her available's degree at Bethune-Cookman University. She enjoys spending time with her son Dominic and her pets. Her dogs include Luna Bell, Luna Strong, and John Gotti. Her cats include Billy Blackness, Johnny Blaze, and Felon. Will Miller

 William was born in Tampa FL but grew up mostly in Pasco and and so Citrus canton. He currently lives with his family where he has five sisters and no brothers, only plans on moving out with i of his close friends and girlfriend, Katie while he completes college. He is currently a Senior at Hernando high schoolhouse in Brooksville Florida where he is captain of the varsity soccer team. His main goals in life is to work in an manufacture where he can piece of work with animals and help make the world just a little bit better. His favorite parts of working in this field is working with the large birds we frequently encounter in the clinic, and being surrounded by people who have gone from coworkers to my all-time friends. He likes to spend his free fourth dimension with his friends and family, working out, playing soccer, playing video games and working on cars and motorcycles and going on joyrides. He currently has three ball pythons, a scarlet macaw, a goffins cockatoo, and a kitten a named Pudge.

Brooklyn grew up in Pinellas Canton FL. She went to Dixie Hollins High schoolhouse and moved out at 17 into her first apartment. She then moved to Inverness at 18 to be closer to her grandparents to take intendance of them. She graduated from Withlacoochee Tech Higher. She worked at Citrus Memorial for v years before switching to the veterinarian field which has e'er been her passion. Brooklyn has one dog named Malacai plus 2 cats (Amira and Merlin), and ane fish named Jax. Jax is a spoiled Molly in a 30-gallon tank. She enjoys doing yoga, painting, drawing-anything creative, pottery, dwelling house comeback, and currently pursuing fire dancing. Her goals are to go back to school to further her career as a veterinarian technician.

Kristine Bragen

Kristine joined the grooming department at Countryside Animal Clinic in December 2016. She loves her patients and clientele. She was born and raised in Maine. There, she attended Southern Maine Customs College. Subsequently many years of living in the snowfall, she and her husband were set to move to warmer conditions. They decided to pack up and settle downward in Citrus Canton, Florida. She enjoys spending time with her hubby horseback riding, fishing, and cooking. It'due south e'er a treat when their 3 lovely daughters come down to visit from up North. They share the dearest caring for their three cats, three dogs, and four horses. Countryside is appreciative to have Kristine on the squad, and they peculiarly love her yummy bootleg desserts she brings in. Kristine looks forward to the 24-hour interval the only decision she'll take to brand is which horse to ride.
